shutting down

After I turn the laptop on and log on, after about 15 maybe 20 minutes it shuts down. The air from the side of it is really hot. I think its overheating but i'm not quite sure. Could you please help me with this problem?

With canned air. Other sources usually have to much moisture

WinXp Amd 64 3000 Msi Neo2 Platinuim 1 gig ddr 400. When we cast a pebble into a pond we should look past the first ripple.
