i have a laptop that just started shutting down on its own..at first it will boot up and you see the windows xp screen and then it just shuts down and loses power. so i thought maybe the os is corrupted. i started to reinstall the os and it gets to the screen where i tell it which drive to install it on and it just shuts down. it really doesnt matter which screen im on its just any given time..any ideas
as long as i stay in the bios the computer stays on..when i try to reinstall xp from cd or boot straight to the os on the hard drive it goes for a few minutes and then just shuts down
