just converted my 98 pc to XP. under 98, the pc powered off when shutdown, now under XP, when I 'turn off' the pc, it does not, it displays 'it is now safe to turn off your computer' message. does anyone know why the actions differ between 98 and XP? does anyone what to change in XP to get it to power down when shutdown?
