And why are you running DDR3-1333 rather than DDR3-1866? The slow RAM is a bottleneck.

More graphics memory doesn't necessarily mean better performance. There are plenty of low end cards out there with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB memory & they aren't any faster than the same card with just 1GB memory. Make sure to consider ALL the specs, memory amount is just one of them & shouldn't be the primary consideration.
