I have a Sharp Al-1555. The problem is that when I start the printer it shuts off and says L 3 on the display any ideas. (Printer as been setup correctly and am using a usb 2.0 connection)

That error should be covered in the manual.

First thing to try is to remove the printer from windows and reboot and reinstall. That fixes many problems. The error code you are receiving is propietory. The best resource for that would be the manufacturer. Also, check to see if a newer driver is available.

..tried the remove and reinstall never worked...however called the manufactuer and they said that the error is hardware base and they would be coming to replace..thanks anyway.
