Comment:

I would like to set up wireless on my system and I would like to use my desk computer as the host.

In addition, I want a connection for my workbench approximately 12 ft. away.

Could someone advise me of my hardware needs and installation procedures?

you will need a wireless capable router(preferably a wireless g) and some wireless network cards.

some issues with wireless connections are interference with cordless phones, distance from router, electrical interfere(bad wiring in your location), and a neighbor with wireless connections also
