server bios detects only 64mb RAM

Specs: Windows 2003 server, Dual xeon 1.8GHz / 512*2 (PC2100-133MHz)ECC-REG-UN BUF-

We have 1GB DDR(512*2)- (PC2100-133MHz)ECC-REG-UN BUF-of RAM for our server. We have a Intel server motherboard. The problem Intermediatly that BIOS detects only 64 MB of the RAM only. But, when I re-fix that RAM or memory reset in BIOS than only I can able to get 1GB ram, Any ideas??

Bogus ram, (sold as reg-ecc but not)

Bad ram.

Bad chipset support.

Not compatible ram.

Bios setting (most of the old servers had a limit to allow NT to be loaded) or battery bad.

Really any hardware issue such as loose pins or cold joint or ESD damage.

No matter how much you spent, you can get a much better system than trying to play with it too much.
