Hello guys! I need some help! BAD! OK, bare with me, this is long!

My PCs specs:

Antec 350W SmartPower PSU it’s about 3 years old.
PCchips M830LR SiS735 Chipset Mobo, bout 1 ½ years old
AMD Athlon XP 2000+, bout 1 ½ years old
Samsung 256MB CAS 2.5 RAM, not sure how old.
nVidia Riva TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro 32MB, bout 1 ½ years old, but model is old!!
SB PC512 4.1 Sound Card, bout 2 years old
1 WD 7200RPM 8MB cache 80Gig HD, bout 5 months old
1 Quantum 4500RPM 30Gig HD, bout 4 years old
1 Samsung 5400RPM 20Gig HD, not sure how old
Windows XP Pro, with SP1

Temps are normal; room is not moist, pc not next to any magnetic fields or any other interference, and the wall outlet voltage is normal, and pc is plugged only with the basic peripherals, mouse, keyboard, monitor, sound…

My computer has this really serious weird problem, see, like 1 week ago, it was restarting like if the PSU was going out, but then I re-installed the OS and then it kept re-starting, but this time, it told me what was the problem, it said; That windows re-stared because the video card could not complete a drawing operation, then I used and old v-card, and it worked for about 3 days, till I got a new v-card, then it worked for about 1 day, then re-stared again, then I got me a new PSU, and it’s the same as the one I had before, then it worked for about 1 day, then problem came back, then I re-set and cleaned the CPU and RAM problem still there, then I tried running it just with the OS HD, but then it just kept re-starting, then the blue screen of death came up, but then It re-stared to fast, and couldn’t read what I said, then I tried to re-install windows, then the blue screen of death came up, then it staid, and it said the following message:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer if this screen appears again, fallow these steps:

The BIOS in the system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor of visit http://ww.hardware-update.com for an updated BIOS. If you are unable to obtain an updated BIOS, or the latest BIOS supplied by vendor is not ACPI compliant. You can turn off ACPI during next mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed-it will silently disable ACPI and allow to continue your installation.

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x000000A5 (0x00000011, 0x00000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

What is ACPI compliant? Well, I did get the latest BIOS, and updated the BIOS, but problem still accrued, then I put the original BIOS, and still same problem! I never had this problem before, and I haven’t mess with the brains of my computer or installed any new device! I think the next thing that I need to do is replace my mobo! Or do you think my ram may be going out? Or something else? Any good suggestions will help! Please help! But, replacing the mobo, should be good! But help anyway!

Thank you so much, for your time!

I'd do some more troubleshooting to try to nail down the problem, otherwise you may end up totally rebuilding your system, & then later find out it was something simple.

Make sure your case interior is clean...unplug it, then carefully brush off any dust & blow it out with compressed air.

Remove everything accept the minimal hardware needed to bootup. In other words, disconnect or remove your hard drives, optical drives, & all cards. Start off with just the CPU w/HSF, videocard, one stick of RAM, & the keyboard...nothing else. Bootup & run thru your BIOS settings...check your temps a few times while you're there to make sure you don't have an overheating problem. If things go wrong right from start, you've at least narrowed it down to the hardware you're using (& hopefully eliminated what you're not using). If it's not overheating, the 1st thing I'd do from there is try swapping RAM.

If things look good, install the HDD w/OS & the mouse, then bootup & try it out. Still good? Shut down & add a couple of more things. Don't add too much at once though or you won't know what's causing your grief...

BTW, you might wanna download memtest86 & test your RAM...you can run it directly from a floppy & no HDD is necessary

Hi.
I'm from Brazil.
I think its a virus!!!! I have the same problem and my girl friend has it too! And we dont know what to do!!!!
I have a Soyo k7vta-b,
AMD Duron 750mhz
with 384mb ram and SO W2K.
And she has a ASUS A7S333
AMD XP 1.7mhz,
640mb ram and W2k.
She clean up his machine yesterday, formated the hard drive and reset the bios, after various reinstalations of the SO, including a WinXP SO. Today, and at this time, the computer is OK.
And my computer won a new SO, Win98, after formated, of course, and now has this problem: it shows the certificated of the sites that have a good one, like uncetificated, with old dates or invalid. Anyone know what to do?
Thanks a lot.
And sorry for my poor english.
