I need a serial or parallel to USB adapter. Not the other way around. Basicly I need to go from the serial or parallel port on an old POS pent 100 laptop to USB connection. Pcmcia is not an option as all the USB pcmcia cards require the later type II pcmcia slot and this computer only has what I am guessing type I. The cards do not fit.

So yeah, Serial to USB, any guesses?

I think that Belkin is one of many companies that make them.

Years ago, I bought one at Staples but it did not work properly so I returned it. I have heard of many people that have good luck with them though.

I just did a google search on

"serial to USB cable"

and it found a lot of them.
