Seeing red on scanned pics

Scanned a pic on an Epson Perfection 1650 and it has a red streak over it (like an exposed film pic). Any way I can fix this? thanks.

Iv had the same problem. You might have your scan setting too high. Try lowing the Res. a bit and see if that helps.
