Hi,
i have just installed a new hard drive 250GB to go with my 80GB. i have set up my documents on the secondary hard drive (250GB)..
my problems is when i go to play movie clips or transfer files to and from the hard drives it becomes very distorted..
i then have to copy the file directly to my primary drive to watch any movie clips which is becoming rather annoying! it also seems to effect the sounds quality when playing of music through itunes.
I'm running the primary hd by itself and the secondary hd and dvd rom together off the one cable. I've double checked the DMA settings and they seem all fine.

The physical connection shouldn't matter unless the actual cable is bad. Perhaps there's a problem with the drive itself.

I would say the cable or hard drive is bad. Unless your computer is having problems reading it for some reason. Try reformatting it maybe. Does it slow down copying files to it?
