The 185 watt PS that came with my HP mini-tower is already stretched to it's limit with all the extras I already run. Since I have no money for a new PC and a full tower, I'm trying to figure out a way to add a second power supply so I can upgrade my video card. Since space is limited and because looks aren't important, I figure I can run one externally. BUT- I have no clue how to hook one into my system or if it's even possible. The search engines haven't helped me find what I'm looking for- Anyone have any info or know any links to point me to for this? As always, thanks in advance...!

The PSU and Motherboard for Mass produced computers such as HP, Dell, Gateway are proprietary. You can't just add a regular ATX power supply or the like. The pins are configured differently. You will fry your motherboard. Your safest option is to try and buy a more powerful PSU from HP. Good luck.
