Sdram Vs DDR

Hello... I got a question... Right now I am running a 1.3 T-bird with sdRAM of 768, 1 stick is 512 and the other 256, both pc 133... I got another stick at home, its a DDR 512 2700... So I was thinking, which will be faster? The sdRAM of 768 that I got right now in my system or that stick of DDR Ram 512 2700...
Note, I got a motherboard thats a K-7 and supports both DDR and Sdram...

Most programs today won't make full use of 512mb of RAM, let alone 768mb. DDR is an improvement over standard SDram, but the performance increase varies depending on what you use your system for.

I think the 512mb ddr ram will work faster than the 768mb of sd ram because it works twice per tact but that may vary from system to system.
But if you want to be sure try some benchmarks. If you use the system for gameing try 3dmark 2000 and 2001 and there are also benchmarks for office applications or video (sorry, no special name that comes to mind!). Better check it out for yourself!
Summary: Is it better to have quantity or speed? 256 megs SDRAM that runs at 133MHz or 128 DDR that runs at 266MHz?? Which one's better? Im thinking about replaceing my 256megs SDRAM with 128megs DDR, just won...
Summary: That board has problems with sdram and really should only be run with ddr. I bought that board along with an amd 1800+ for $89 which overclocked easily to a 2100+ and has never locked up once. An ama...
Summary: That voltage upturn you did was some serious damage, especially to the floppy. Probably made things worse. A bad Power supply can produce the symptoms you describe, as a new one is not expensive, mayb...
