Specs: Windows XP
I have 256 mb sd ram in the first slot and added 128 mb sd ram in the second slot. But the ram memory shows only 256 mb sd ram. If I load 128 SDR in first slot and 256 SDR in second slot, ram memory shows only 128 mb. Can any one suggest how to add 128 MB SDR?

All RAM is SDRAM. If your board is the Intel D845GLVA, it uses DDR-SDRAM. If you have a 128MB stick, it must be pretty old stuff.

Here's the memory info from the motherboard manual:

• Two 184-pin DDR SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
• Support for single-sided or double-sided DIMMs (DDR266/200)
• Support for up to 2 GB system memory
NOTE: The Desktop Board D845GLVA has been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum onboard capacity of up to 2 GB, but this technology has not been validated (currently validated up to 1.0 GB) on this board. Please refer to the following Intel web site.

Here's the manual:

For best performance, PC2700 (DDR333) should be run with a 400MHz FSB P4. Crucial recommends either 512MB or 1GB sticks:
