SD Card won't fit!

Ok, this may sound like a really stupid question to some of you, but here goes. I have a Rio/Nike psa mp3 player. There is a card slot on the back for mmc cards. I have never had a device that used them or sd cards. However the two times I've borrowed firend's sd cards to see if it actually used them, I can't get them to fit in the slot! All documentation/posts/everything says these things use mmc cards. I thought that should be the same physical shape as sd. However, it doesn't seem to go into the slot right. Should it go in firm, loose... what? Should i push harder? man, i don't wanna break the dang thing! i just wanna be able to listen to more than an hour of music at one time. lol thank for any help you can give me... God bless...
Mike

What ever happened to answering the simple questions we post, rather than giving smart-aleck comments?
