I was copying my pictures off an SD card to a friends computer to backup the files. His fan was broken, the computer overheated and shut down, and now I can't access the memory card in any computer.

When i plug it in my laptop, the computer doesn't recognize it. I've tried to use partition doctor and other mbr programs because I believe the error may be with a corrupt mbr, but since the computer doesn't acknowledge my card when plugged in, the programs don't offer me the option of even running them on the SD card.

Any ideas?

The heart of a SD card is the NAND flash chip that actually stores the data. NAND flash chip are sensitive to sudden change in electric current. When the computer overheat and shutdown, the SD card gets damaged beyond repair.
