I am having trouble reading the files on my Panasonic 32mb SD card. My Minolta Dimage Z1 camera will says there are no images while the camera is in the viewing mode, but says the card is full when switched to the taking pictures mode. I know the card is full I had just finished taking pictures with it. When I insert the card into a card reader from my computer it does not show any picture files. I tried two different computers (home and office). The camera works fine when I inserted a different sd card. I know my files are there because when I checked the properties of the drive it listed the drive as having over 29mb used and only less than 1 mb of free space on the disk. I need some advice as to how to retrieve these pictures and keep using my sd card.

have you tried formatting the SD card in your camera? It's usually different than formatting it with your pc

Was able to retrieve files by using a software program for file recovery. Then I formatted the disk in my camera and was able to use the disk successfully.
Thank you for your response.

Yes! But dont take anymore pictures or
do anything with the storage space!!!
You might over write the pictures you
want to recover if you take any more!!!

First, download this:
Smart Recovery 4.5 (freeware)

ftp://ftp2.convar.com/pcinspector/pci_us_smartrecovery.exe

or
http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/smartrecovery.html

& install it. Run it find the camera under
it's drive leter(should be listed as a
removeable drive in "My Computer")
Select where you want the files recovered
to. Then click start.

This thing is a lifesaver. I just deleted
all the pics by accident(I thought they
were downloaded), and I got them back within
5 minutes.

It even recovered Pics I took 4 months
ago that didn't get over written!!!
great Program..... Good luck
