SCSI and IDE mixing

i have a vectra vl400. i need to use a SCSI Hard drive (or two) and IDE optical drives. is this possible with the SCSI adapter card i have. it is PCI. also, is it possible to run a IDE hard drive as a boot drive and a SCSI drive as a secondary drive, or vise versa? is the such thing as a SCSI to IDE adapter? please advise. thanx. regards, dragon

idk about the scsi to ide, but everything else is possible.

Yes you can run a ide as boot and scsi as second. That for most systems is default [run ide boot before scsi boot].
Most have the problem of wanting to boot from scsi but also want a ide drive. Some systems will not allow you to boot scsi before ide so its a no go.
no such thing as scsi to ide adapter. Apples and walnuts. both are fruit from a tree but that is all they have in common.
