Screen problems

Toshiba / P300

Specs: Windows Vista

My laptop is just over a year old and its suddenly developed a problem. When i tilt the screen more than 90 degrees the background or colour gets distorted, everything else carries on working but the anything white turns pink anything black is green, the quality of the screen also becomes weird. However when the screen is at 90 degrees or less it works perfectly with crisp images/colour and resolution. Can anyone explain what is wrong with it?

The wiring between the laptop base and the display in the lid is probably damaged, often right where it passes through the hinge.

See response 2 in this, and response 1, 4 and 5 if you need to:

You can lessen the chances of that happening by simply not closing the laptop when you don't need to.
