If you are using a mouse anyway, disable the touchpad except when you cannot use a separate mouse.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Sure you're not bumping the touchpad while you're typing? I know that both on my current laptop and especially my old laptop, that the touchpad was sensitive to whenever I bumped it with my palm while typing. It had a bunch of weird ways to control it with the touchpad, and it would start jumping all over when I hit it. Just pay attention when you type and this 'jumping' occurs to see if you're bumping the touchpad or not.

If not try another mouse - from a friend maybe.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
