Screen froze; restart but now no display

Specs: Windows Vista, dual core processor; 2G ram
Tecra M7; screen froze; restart; no display. Tried what was suggested in another post for M5: removed large battery and power cord; held "on" switch 20 sec. Restart. Still no display, so reseated HDD etc. and now HDD does not light up. Only lights on are the Power, Battery, and Wireless. Cannot hear fan now or anything else.

I think it might be due to a faulty RAM chip in your laptop. Can you try replacing it the RAM? see if it works.
