screen dosent display

Specs: Windows XP
ast night i turned off my computer cause i was going to bed, but then i forgot i needed to do something so i turned it back on and nothing showed up on the screen. at first i thought it was my monitor, but the led is orange (instead of yellow) which i believe means it is not receiving a signal. i played around with all the cables and still nothing happened. I tried switching my monitor from my AGP graphics card to my built in graphics card and still nothing showed up. I know the monitor is not disfunctional because when i unplugged the cable from the first graphics card, it said "no signal" or whatever it says. This leads me to believe that there is somethin wrong with my computer. When i push the power button, sometimes everything seems to be ok, i can hear everything running and the power LED is normal, but there is no image. However, sometimes when i power it up, the power LED flashes on and off and my dvd rom drive's power LED flashes on and off as well. Does anybody have any ideas?
I have an mercury pmv4800pentium d cpu. I haven't messed around on the inside of my computer since last september when i installed my cd burner, so i think its a software problem. Thank you for your help!

if u can't see anything it is hardware issue. I suspect psu is bad, try to change it.
System specs isn't complete.
