Specs: Windows 7, 4GB
I have a Toshiba Satellite E105-S1802 4GB with a 14.1" display. The display blinks on and off depending on the angle I put the display into, like it is losing its signal. I can keep placing the display in different positions until I can finally find a sweet spot where it will stay on. How can I repair this?

Sounds like a video cable connection issue if there's a "sweet spot". Could be loose video cable(s) to the motherboard, or bad ribbon cable down near the LCD hinges, or inside to the LCD connectors, or to the LCD inverter, or an inverter issue maybe... funky bulb connection(s). The LCD would have to removed and opened up & inspected.

Just another stupid saying...

"Sounds like a video cable connection issue.."

Usually it's damaged wires where the wiring passes through the hinge area.

Laptop no video (or video problems), and battery, AC adapter, power jack T shooting.

See response 1:

DO NOT plug in or unplug a monitor's video cable into / from a video port while the computer is running. Doing so can damage the monitor's circuits and/or the video adapter's circuits.

Some laptops will display on an external monitor without you having to do anything.

If you get no video on an external monitor, some laptops have a key combo that you must press to toggle the display to external video only / built in display video only / sometimes both - see the Owner's or User's manual for the model.

It is a video cable problem. I experienced the same problem on E105, P205, P105. Either the design is bad (the left hinge presses the video cable), the cable's quality is low, or the laptop assembler installed the video cable improperly.
