screen and system freezes

hi,
my computer freezes 10-15 minutes after booting.the freeze remains for 2-3 seconds and then everything runs normal.this happens even if any work is going or not.can you help me find a solution or the faulty part responsible as the system is in warranty.
details -
1. AMD Phenom II X4 940 Quad Core Processor.
2. Asus M4A78-HTPC motherboard.
3. ATI radeon 4890 1 gb graphics card.
4. Kingston KHX8500D2/2G 2GB DDR2 1066MHz

Try using the msconfig startup tab to troubleshoot. Deselect items in the list to see if any of them are causing the freeze. Do not go online if you disable your firewall.
