I have seen ads hawking that ability. Don't know if that requires a special scanner or software. If it were me I would simply try it.

You need an adaptor for your scanner to scan negatives. Not all scanners will take a negative adaptor.

A conventional scan uses light reflected from the original. To scan a negative you must use light that passes through the negative.

See the smaller grey thing. That is the transparency adaptor, which beams light through the negative so the scanner can scan negatives and transparencies.

You'll find them on ebay for $60 and less.

Works great, but you MUST have that adaptor. The scanner is sold without them sometimes so be aware.
