I'm haveing a problem with a epson 1260 (I think) Scanner. It used to work on a dell4300s but not anymore. I tried it on another pc and it works fine. So I'm trying to uninstall the driver and it wont let me. I get an error saying something like 'driver needed to boot with'. Can anyone recommend a program that will take out the driver? And a program that will take out programs that wont uninstall? Thanks for any help.

http://www.theabsolute.net/sware/ This Kevin Solway website has a couple of his own programs about cleaning hard drive of unwanted dll's and also files.File removal when it is not done by the uninstall program from the original setup is risky. One way around this problem is running setup again(if you have the CD or program files)and have setup in the same path as original, reboot the computer and then ask for program removal from the Add/Remove Programs.Good luck.

Ya it's not letting me uninstall the software or driver. I almost never have these problems with my own pcs (homebuilt, always best parts). These damn dells and compaqs can be such a pain in the ass. How do they get away with not giving the user the win cd?
