I've had my HP PSC 2410 All-In-One for about 6 months, and lately, when I scan things, I see small white spots and dots in the scans. The pictures themselves are clean, it's the glass that's the problem. I've never put anything on there to scratch it, and I've cleaned it several times with a special hardware cleaners and lint free brushes and compressed air to solve this problem, but to no avail. I've also noticed on the inside of the glass there are loads of white streaks, almost like a fog, but tha doesn't seem to affect scan quality. Any ideas on ways to clean scanning beds? Thanks.

Doesn't 6 months= warranty?
I'm sure someone might be able to help on this forum, but IMO if i had a scanner that was only 6 months old and performing poorly like that I would send it back.

When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

Thanks, I'll dig out the info on it and contact HP and/or Staples.

That's mold. Its caused by condensation within the scanner.
If you are really smart, careful, and like to take things apart, un plug and clean it off with windex or something. Just make sure the warrently of it is long expired. Otherwise it will void the warrenty. If it hadn't then try to get the warrenty to get you a new one.
Mine expired in 2000.
