Scandisk bad sector detection relia

I have started to recieve bad cluster detections on when I have used scandisk through dos. How well does scandisk do in detecting bad clusters. When it starts to detect bad clusters does it mean that the hard drive is starting to crap out.

Scandisk does an excellent job and the chances are that your drive is going belly up. I assume you ran under dos standalone. You might want do a check of your RAM, just in case.
Summary: I would try Zero filling the drive a few times with a program like Disk Wizard from Seagate. This usually will sort out the supposed bad sectors from the real bad sectors. Then I would boot off of a 9...
