i have upgraded my PC & i am having trouble getting my mustek 1200 ub scanner to work. Basically the original software bundled with the scanner is not XP compatible - i have downloaded drivers & according to device manger the scanner is working. The trouble i have now got is that i no software to grab stuff from the scanner. I have picture-it 2000 but is states no scanner is installed but help function states there are none problems with software & scanner. Any ideas how to resolve or reccomeend where i can find some software that will work Saint

The software to grab stuff from the scanner is part of the TWAIN interface that comes with the drivers. Unless you can get a Windows XP compatible driver you are going to be out of luck. However, a quick search of google produced this. http://www.usb-divers.com/drivers/45/45583.htm or this http://www.driverforum.com/scanner4/4118.html They all appear to be third party drivers so they may or may not work. Sadly the world is full of scanners that don't work on Windows XP although they work fine on Windows 98. When XP was first introduced scanners were notorious for causing problems with drivrs. Stuart
