When the power adapter is connected with the battery in place do you see an indication the battery is being charged (light at the connector)?

No lights at all but prior to removing the battery etc, everything except the keyboard was okay. There is nothing there at all and now have a very distraught 13 yr old!!

Did you first remove the plug from the domestic power supply when you did this? Otherwise it's very unusual for this to happen after the procedure you tried. Are you absolutely certain everything is now connected up firmly and correctly?

It could be just coincidence that something failed at that particular time.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

It wasn't plugged into power supply when the battery was removed. Everything is connected as it should be. Think I'll have to take it somewhere!
Thanks for your reply

Obvious point, but verify the AC adapter is connected to a working outlet.

Usually you can run from the domestic power with the battery removed.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
