I need to open my Toshiba satellite 1110 -z15 in order to replace my hard drive. I cannot find any directions to open the notebook up in order to do this. Toshibas user manuals and support do not help with this - They say it needs to be taken to an authorised dealer. I will do it myself, but would prefer to have some inistructions first.

Some toshibas can have there hdd's removed from the side - firstly look for this. If not it will probably be inside - unscrew any relevant screws from the bottom of the laptop (not there are probably some under the battery). This will allow the keyboard to come up. Look inside for the hdd. It will probably be in a bracket so you will need to remove the old hdd from this bracket and replace it with the new one. Once you have done this then screw everyhing back together.
For more information do a search on google for some schematics which give you an indication as to where the hdd is located.
