hi, i have a problem with a computer that has both a SATA (western digital 40GB) and IDE (western digital 120GB) hard drive, the SATA hard drive has windows installed and boots into windows no problems, however windows won't see the IDE hard drive, yet it is seen in the BIOS, the motherboard is a Gigabyte 7N400 Pro, all the BIOS is set up correctly and the hard drive is seen in there, it just doesnt show up in Windows. the IDE hard drive is used for storage only and is set as a master, but both master and slave settings wont work. thanks in advance for any help Chris

It's a WD pata drive... remove the jumper completely if you're going to use it as a master with no slave present.
After that, boot into Windows and let us know what shows up in Disk Management.
