SATA Primary IDE Channel Settings

Primary IDE Channel:-
Device 0:
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 5

Device 1:
Transfer Mode: DMA if available
Current Transfer Mode: NOT APPLICABLE?

How can I change the "Current Transfer Mode" on DEVICE 1 to be like the one on DEVICE 0 showing "ULTRA DMA MODE 5"?

You probably don't have that SATA port Enabled in the BIOS.

Do you have more than one hard drive? If so, are both SATA?

I have only one hard drive. My secondary IDE Channel is a DVD drive

I should have read the post more carefully. Where does the SATA drive come into play? Is your only hard drive a SATA or IDE?

You are evidently running the SATA in an IDE compatibility mode. That is native to your Motherboard.

You need to install the motherboard chipset drivers in order for any IDE (PATA) drives to run in any DMA mode.
