My 250gb seagate sata hd on my pc was not detected upon booting only the cdrom is being detected. When I try to reformat there's no partition(C and D) found. We would like to seek solutions about this problem. thus the problem was the hd or others. I hope you can help me. Thankz a lot!

First make sure the HDD is firmly fixed and seated in HDD bay before coupled, Enter the PC BIOS setup and see if the HDD is detected in the BIOS then set boot order in the system BIOS and save setting (Optic disk drive first follow by HDD). Then boot up the PC from CD/DVD media. Thanks.
