1.)I'm building a new computer and using SATA II HDD. Once I connected everything, do I need to configure anything on tha SATA II or I just directly boot from the OS Disk to install XP. 2.)When starting up the computer, i think that my SATA II gives out a sound. What's the problem?

I. You need the SATA driver which comes with your motherboard. During installation, press F6 and follow the directions.
II. Can you describe the sound? If you're not sure if it's your HD, unplug the case fans and open the case. Boot the pc and listen again. Which HD do you have?
