last year i bought ecs mb-am2 geforce6100sm-m2, x2-3600, with AMD Dual Core 2GHz, sata1-80GB hdd, 1GB-DDR2. problem #1. I installed wxp-sp2, june 2008 edition. the audio failed to work, even with the updated driver. solution: I installed wxp-sp2, april 2008 edition. the audio problem got solved. problem #2. first wxp installation was july 2007 edition. some glitch happened. the most common one has been with the computer loves to freeze. the leds of power and num lock stay on. the pc can not be reset, but unplug all ide cables to optical devices (ODD) and hard drives (ide and sata). plug in the ide cables of ODD, turn it on, shut it down. then plug in the ide/sata1 cables, turn it on. it works. this has been bothering. even more as i add another sata2-250GB. the ecs motherboard only support sata1. isthis the case? problem #3. when I intend to convert multimedia files, the computer freeze suddenly. even when I am typing MS Word, or let the computer idle for some time. could some people explain such these weird things. thank you chitchatid@yahoo.com
