I need a sata driver for a Samsung HD082gj hard drive. I haven't been able to find one on the 'Net as of yet. I want to do a dual boot XP/Ubuntu on this drive and I don't have a floppy drive so I am going to slipstream an XP install disk. I know I'm behind the curve...alot, and this is my first slipstream but this is the way it is. All opinions and suggestions are appreciated and respected.

You don't need a driver for your drive, you need a driver for the controller on your motherboard. You'll need to find the SATA controller driver.

Why do you need a hard drive to do this. Most slipstreams are compressed so small that you can fit them on a CD this way it is portable and you can take them with you. I would suggest getting a passport drive or a book shelf drive. You can get a TB for little under a $100 these days and a 500 GB for around $50 and fit all of you ISO on one drive.

I think ace misunderstood the question.
Ryan is correct. You need to determine which controller is used on your motherboard, then find the proper SATA driver. But since you didn't list your specs or model number...........
