Can anyone tell me how to put the SATA drivers for my motherboard (gigabyte p35-ds4) onto a floppy disk to use when I install windows xp?

Explore your MBoard CD for a folder called SATA/RAID or RAID. Open that folder and copy all the files in the folder to a formatted floppy. That is it. When installing WinXP you will be prompted to hit F6 if you need to supply any additional files or drivers. Insert the floppy and don't remove it until prompted to.
Remember you need at least SP1 on the WinXP install CD in order to use a partition larger than 127GB. I recommend partitioning large drives into at least 3 partitions anyway.
