Specs: Windows XP
can I use an IDE hard disk enclosure to connect to an internat SATA drive (with the use of adaptor(s)), or do I need to buy a new SATA enclosure?

This may work but I doubt it would fit.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Bridge board looks like just what I need, worst comes to worst I could take the casing off the enclosure, but it is looking pretty messy at that point. The docking station is an attractive prospect at not much extra cost. Thanks for the ideas, fellas, I'll have to think on it a bit.
