Sandisk USB memory stick Unreadable Problem, need help!

January 30, 2013 at 09:26:10
Specs: Windows Vista

I was using my USB in school and the system unit is located under the desk. I accidentally hit my USB when it was plugged in with my knee and since then hasnt been readable when plugged into the computer. Is there any way I can access it or fix it? Or even access my memory stick to get my files from it

USB jumpdrives are very unreliable & should not be depended on for exclusive storage. If you broke it, it's doubtful there's a way to fix it or recover your files. You should always have a backup.

"USB jumpdrives are very unreliable & should not be depended on for exclusive storage"

Other storage media is more reliable but I wouldn't go as far as saying USB Jumpdrives are very unreliable. The main risk is long term after many write cycles.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
