hi,
I bought a new laptop last September for Uni and within 4 months I started seeing marks on my screen that I thought was just an odd dead pixel. That was a month ago and now i have loads of the things! This is useless considering I have only had the BRAND NEW Samsung R20 for 4 months!! I have posted pics of the LCD here... http://s103.photobucket.com/albums/...
Also, the screen is warm at the bottom where most of these dead pixels are showing, and its cold everywhere else. Is this normal? The trouble is I threw the box away I got with my laptop. I haven't yet phoned up Samsung customer support so I will ask them what I can do.
Are these dead pixels? And why are more showing every week?
Tim

I haven't tried these but, I found them by googling.

Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

I've tried all the Software solutions on the market and none of them solve my problem.
I'm thinking my screen is faulty as the plastic covering around the outside of the screen comes loose that I've only just noticed. This isn't right surely?

Looked for the Samsung warranty policy but having trouble finding it. The policy for your unit should be spelled out in your warranty paperwork. You say you threw away the box. Does that mean the manual too? I would say that IF those are dead pixels you exceed any warranty limits. Contact Samsung after trying on or more of the tests clive linked to.
