samsund hard disk problem

hello friends i have this wiered problem.... i have two hard disk.... the secoundary hard disk is a samsung 40 GB disk... the problem is it does shows up in Bios but it does not shows on windows.... if i try to install windows on it... setup shows cannot enter disk... and the memory shows 0 disk space.... it is an IDE connected disk please help whats wrong
