S3 Virge Video card

I have an old S3 Virge video card (4mbRam) which is working on Xp, but the DVD playback is shocking. Is it possible to fix this with a download or do I have to buy a new video card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, no fixing it. With a better GPU, four megs might just barely give decent playback. The minimum I've used that worked acceptably well has been a Radeon PCI card that had eight megabytes of memory.
Those old S3 cards are strictly good for the basics.

You need a new videocard, you need at least 8 MB Vram to play DVDs

Thanks guys. not the answer I was hoping for ( I suspected it though) but thanks a million for the help.
I can't believe there are 2 questions in a row about S3 Virge cards. The Virge 3D series was so bad that they almost put S3 under. The Virge line was known as "graphic decelerators"...LOL!
You can pick up a cheap 16MB or 32MB TNT2 Vanta for about $10 on eBay. They work very well for DVD & even some light gaming.
