I'm posting this to help those of you who live in Europe and have only a PERITEL connector on the back of your TV.
Most of the video cards here come with only an S Video port on the card so it is a must to have a peritel adapter.
I have seen many posts here from people trying to figure out why the TV would only display in Black and White only to give up (or at least they never posted back their success).
I was fortunate enough in the past to have cards with a composite (RCA) port so never personnally had that problem until recently.
After playing around with the configurations, I changed the connection in the Nview settings from S Video to COMPOSITE and BINGO, problem solved. It seems that when the signal gets converted to the peritel connection it is no longer detected as an S video connection but instead as a simple VHS connection.
My brother in law has a Radeon card and it was the same for him.

I hope that this post is helpful to some of you here when you encounter some of these Black and White display problems.

Cheers

OVV

Thanks OVV, that's a useful info for me because I also encountered this problem. Like you I also have a composite out as way around but that may change soon!
