When I try to play some games on my PC, the screen goes all fuzzy. I assume it is because of the screen resolution but if i try to change that the same happens.I have a good graphics card, does this mean I need a better monitor ???

I'd say that or you might wanna adjust your refresh rate. Possibly too high?

Otherwise I have no idea cause you haven't given any specifics....

I have the latest version of direct x downloaded from Microsoft.
My video card is NVDIA TNT2/TNT/2 PRO 16mb, and my screen resolution is set to 800 x 600, if I try to change it to higher, the screen goes fuzzy. This happens on several games, Dogz 5 , Tropico to name a few. Thanks for any help given.

Try adjusting the res in windows and see if the same thing happens. Also try lowering your refresh rate because that may be too high.
Youre monitor may not be able to handle a bigger res at a high refresh rate.

Right click the desktop --> Properties --> Settings tab --> Advanced ---> Monitor tab
there should be a scroll down menu where you can adjust it

Although im uncertain as to whether or not it stays the same refresh rate in games. I know there was a problem with the old Nvidia drivers along those lines...

Actually, I think that the problem was the refresh rate would not go beyond 60Hz in games and 60Hz is as low as it gets, so it proally wouldnt apply to you anyway.

Get the newest dets too if you dont have them, btw.
