I want to know how I find out what is the RPM speed of my hard drive. I dont have the box or brochure

Go in the control panel, system properties, and look for HD info. Get the model # from there and do a Google search or if you see a manufacturer name go to their site and search for that model.

Your best bet may be to find the make and model of your hard drive and look it up on the net. The manufacturer should have the specs.

Julio, Open the case (power off first). Remove hardware necessary to reveal the HD and remove said device. Look on the device sticker and .... viola...you have the information..... BTW don't forget where you removed all that hardware...You'll need to reverse the procedure, eventually....Perhaps, after many posts to this forum. Of course, that information isn't worth the price of a stamp, so...I wouldn't bother....If your friends machine is faster than yours, so what.? BTW it's not 7200, I'll bet.
