Hi all, Just a quick question, i am gonan buy some creative inspire 5700 5.1 speakers, they look cool and the total RMS Watt rating is 80 watts, now how loud is this, is there any comparason, just to give me an idea of loud, lol.

Watts is a electrical power rating, it has nothing to so with sound. 80 watts is the maximum power that the speakers can handle without damage. So don't connect a 200 watt amplifier to those speakers and crank it up all the way.

Cool looks rarely has anything to do with how good speakers work or sound. And I don't know where you got that 80 watts RMS from...it doesn't say anything like that at the Creative website:

I would imagine they are pretty loud.

jam, the creatives are actually 79watts.
Satellites : 7W per channel
Centre : 21W per channel
Subwoofer : 30W
30w + 21w + 7w*4 (5.1 system has 4 satellites)
equals 79 watts of total power as advertised:

That may very well be...I was just pointing out that Creative makes no mention of 80 watts (or 79 watts) on their website.
