Hi everyone,
I recently start to burn DVDs, so I don't know how good RiData DVD disk quality. Does anyone have been using riData DVD disks? How is it quality comparing with Verbatim, HP, Sony, etc? Recently, I found that RiData is so popular because most computer stores sell RiData DVD disks...
Thank you very much for any advices

I'm a bit of a movie buff so I burn ALOT of disks. My movie collection is about 1700 and counting.
I've tried pretty well all disks at one point or another and here is what I have learned:
Brand name really doesn't make that much difference.
I have had good burns as well as bad with as many expensive disks as with cheap. The message is that simply there is no such thing as a perfect home burn, so the quality of burn depends on your playback machine more than anything else.
Your playback machine must be of good enough quality to accept minor flaws in the burn.
I have 3 DVD players ranging from cheap to expensive. The cheap machine has problems with ALL home burned disks. Maxell Verbatum, no name, whatever I put in it tends to skip towards the end of the disk. The same disk however in the expensive machine poses no problems at all... not even with the bottom of the line no name disks.
I have now settled on Maxell disks simply because I like the gold tint they use for a finishing color.
Draw your own conclusions from this but my advice is not to worry so much about Brand because it's really not that important.

RiData DVDs "are" manufactured by Ritek. Ritek is well known for producing hi-quality DVD media.
With most name brands, you never know what you are getting beforehand. Other manufacturers produce the DVD media for them. They do not always use the same manufacturer. There are programs out there that will read the media code on a blank DVD and list the "true" manufacturer of the media.
Some people may say something like "I have always had good burns with brand "X"." To me that is only half of the quality equation. After you have have a "good burn" data loss, or video degradation, over time is the second part of the equation.

Thank you very much for your advices opinions. I am concerning the "last long" quality of the DVD disk because I want to do backup data. That is why I want to know which brand name is considered to be OK. Anyway, I will go for RiData DVD+RW disk because it is easier to buy than other brand names.
