Reseting Monitor settings

CPU/Ram: AMD athlon/ 1028 RAM

i have a problem, i was screwing around with my monitor settings and now i want them back the way they were when i got the monitor...how do i reset them? i have a NEC AccuSync 70 monitor, thanx for any help.

Do you mean you had the back of the monitor and were messing around with the controls inside. If that is the case then you are on your own or you can pay an engineer to fix it for you, but it will cost you.

no, i was messing with the normal settings...you use the buttons on the front to go through the menu....like brightness, contrast, etc. but i changed the shape of the screen and now i want to change it back...i didn't screw with the insides of the monitor

every monitor is slightly different, there should be an option called "RECALL" this will put your monitor back to its factory settings, although every monitor ive had needed adjusting abit from normal settings, this will give you a start then just alter the monitor settings slightly, a good idea is to write down each setting you change and what you change it to that way if anything happens in future you will be able to set it back without messing about again! to change the shape of the screen the option on my monitor to do this is called "GEOMETRY"
