i do not know about this computer, but i have seen some where this is a small bank of tiny switches on the motherboard and one of those switches does what you need - i have seen that on a compaq computer and a i think from memory a RM computer with Fujitsu-siemans mobo. The compaq one had printed on the mobo what each switch did. The other one did not, but I think someone told me which one did it.

check online for the correct way to reset the bios on this model. there are several different types of ways to do this for different motherboards. some use a jumper setting, some you can remov ethe battery, while others require you to use short out points on the motherboard

after further investigation i discovered that in this model the popwd is held in the eeprom and not cmos. quick fix is to take of the green jumper next to the yellow reset cmos button on mobo. power up and no popwd. power down and put jumper back on. no popwd. da da. thanks for the replies.
